Explore Our Support Services

Our programs are designed to assist the community in various ways. From providing clothing and food to offering emergency financial help, we are here to support those in need. Learn more about services like our Food Pantry and Clothing Bank, which aim to meet basic needs and improve lives.

Clothing Bank

Our Clothing Bank offers free donated clothing and household items to families in need. Last year 803 adults, 592 children and 236 seniors visited us for support.

Diaper Bank

SNAP and WIC don’t cover diapers, making it hard for some families to afford them. Last year, WCHS provided diapers, pull-ups, and wipes to 124 households in need.

Emergency Financial Assistance

WCHS connects neighbors in need to financial help for housing, utilities, prescriptions, and more, while also guiding them to additional resources from other organizations.

Food Pantry

We fight hunger by distributing donated and purchased food to local families—last year 213,513 pounds went to more than 606 families.

Fresh Express

Fresh Express takes place the first Tuesday of each month, 10:00–12:00, with curbside pickup only. Items are pre-bagged and delivered to recipients in their vehicles or to walk-up clients at the building.

Back-to-School Supplies

We provide school supplies and clothing to eligible K-12 students in Waynesboro and Greencastle-Antrim School Districts. Families sign up each qualified child for an in person "shopping" experience. Last year, 250 children received support.

Backpack Food Program

WCHS provides a bag containing a weekend food supply to at-risk students who may go hungry outside school. Last year, we distributed 13,263 bags to 363 children. This program runs 46 weeks out of the year.

Christmas Assistance

Providing Christmas food boxes and gifts to families in Waynesboro and Greencastle-Antrim School Districts. Sign-ups start in October. Last year, food boxes and gifts for 395 children were distributed, thanks to generous community support.
